The Just Car Australian Drift Grand Prix Round 1 Rolled into Melbourne in October and we were there at Calder Park to cover all of the action from both days of the event.

The middle of the Thunderdone was the place to check out all of the coolest gear from the trade stalls and of course, to check out all of the on track action.

As well as drifting there was also the track battle time attack sessions taking place during the day, this made for non stop action all day.
Impressively close drifting action was on the menu with a side of smoked tires both days, and let me tell you, it was delicious!
In the pits gearing up to head out to qualify, in the cars we’re definitely a nicer place to be on the Saturday while Melbourne handed us some arctic weather.
Michel More’s rb25 neo powered S14 put on a strong show, and so did the insane drifters crew, with Agges placing a very respectable 2nd. (and not to mention his tyre popping celebration burnout after the final)
A massive round of applause for our beautiful promo girls for the event, while we we’re all covered up with hoodies and jeans, they were out there handing out flyers and braving the cold, awesome work girls!
Wall taps were the order of the event, with this 180 taking it to the extreme and nearly giving me a lap dance.
Despite the icy conditions on the Saturday, the crowds still stayed strong throughout the day, and the VIP stand remained packed until the end.
True credit to the owners of all of the cars out during the event, some very serious cars out and about.
defs froffin…
Harrop proved that it doesn’t need to be JDM to be a track machine, their LS7 Ve doing an impressive job on the track for the time attack sessions.
A nicer day on Sunday helped all of the promo models get out and about, here are the ADGP girls.
…or is it?
This Audi A5 from DNA Performance utilised a Harrop bolt on supercharger kit.
During the minimal downtime between the action on track, there was also plenty to do in the paddock.
